Dinner held for Former Staff of the University
150 former staff of the University attended a dinner at Firth Court on Thursday 12 July.
Despite the threat of rain, after the recent floods, guests were able to enjoy a drinks reception in the quad, where they were entertained by student string quartet, The Pisgah Ensemble. Dinner was then held in Firth Hall, with guests treated to a four-course meal.
Former staff had fun catching up with old friends who had worked at the University over many years. The evening was rounded off with a short speech by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Bob Boucher, who brought everyone up to date with developments at the University over the past year. As he will be retiring at the end of this year he said he looked forward to receiving an invite as a guest for future former staff dinners.
