Routes into Teaching Fair October 2007

Fancy being a teacher? Whether you're considering a career in teaching or looking for your first teaching post, a visit to the Routes into Teaching Fair on Friday 19th October 2007 is the perfect opportunity for you to find out more about how to kick-start a career in this increasingly popular field.

The Fair is hosted jointly by the Careers Services of the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University, and will take place in the Octagon Centre between 10.30am and 4.00pm.

The event is open to anyone with an interest in teaching, including students, graduates and people looking for a new job or a change in career.

You’ll find a range of exhibitors with teaching vacancies for PGCE students and newly qualified teachers, plus information on PGCE courses, employment-based training programmes, TESOL courses and opportunities to gain work experience in the teaching sector. The Training and Development Agency for Schools will also be in attendance, providing information about funding and the application process.

Running alongside the Fair will be a series of talks, focusing on Applying for a PGCE, Routes into Teaching, Educational Psychology and Teaching in Higher Education.
