Munich Drinks’ Reception – Friday 9 July

Nymphenburg Palace

Sheffield alumni from Germany and surrounding countries enjoyed a drinks reception at the Nymphenburg Palace in Munich on Friday 9 July 2010. The event was hosted by the University’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Keith Burnett.
Guests had the opportunity to catch up with friends and meet staff from the University in the elegance of the delightful 17th century palace.

Guests were welcomed by the Vice-Chancellor, who later spoke about developments at the University and its links in Europe. Afterwards a fun prize draw saw Rebecca Puettmann (Erasmus – English Language and Literature, 2008); Stefanie Nothaft (Erasmus – Law, 2004) and Ulrike Currle (Erasmus – Cybernetic Engineering, 2004) each receive an alumni goody bag.

The evening was a great success and was a welcome opportunity for the University to build links with our European alumni.
