Back for its fourth year, the Sheffield Alumni London Quiz night took place on Thursday 9 April.

Held in the Waterfront Bar, Kings College Students’ Union, 23 teams took part in the annual event. There were over 130 alumni from all graduation years and friends in attendance, the largest number to take part to date.

Teams had the chance to complete the picture masks round and a Sheffield degree courses themed word search before the quiz began. The quiz covered a selection of topics from The Russell Group Universities to the 90s and as always, a round focused on Sheffield.

The 2014 winning team The Clivemen took part again, in the hope of taking home the title for the second consecutive year. In a tie-break question for 2nd and 3rd place, The Clivemen lost to Two Generations and came in 3rd place overall.

This year there was a new winning team, The Big Lubikowski who were delighted to take home some much sought after Sheffield branded prizes as well as the winners’ trophy!

The quiz was a fantastic success, with 23 teams in total plus many teams on the reserve list. We would like to thank all Sheffield alumni and friends who took part, as well as quiz master Sophia Di Martino, and Kings College Students’ Union for letting us use the superb Waterfront Bar.
