British Council Alumni Awards 2017
The Alumni Awards 2017 are run by the British Council and celebrate the achievements of international alumni and expats who have studied at UK universities within the last 15 years. The awards honour the outstanding achievements made by business professionals, entrepreneurs and community leaders who can demonstrate how their UK education has impacted on their subsequent success.
The awards are an excellent way for alumni to enhance their global status, strengthen and enhance their professional network, as well as helping to promote their work and the University to the rest of the world. Winners will also be invited to act as an ambassador within their country, join future judging panels, as well joining the Alumni Award Network including a wide ranging events programme.
There are three different categories you can apply through, demonstrating Professional Achievement within your field, Entrepreneurship, or the Social Impact of your work. Any graduate of a UK university currently living in Egypt, Ghana, Greece, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico, Nigeria, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Turkey or the USA can apply, with a winner for each prize awarded for each country at a series of national awards ceremonies.
Last year Sheffield had several finalists including Jamie and Jahanzeb, and we are sure that within our global alumni community of 160,000 graduates there will be many more outstanding achievements that have been made by business professionals, entrepreneurs and community leaders.
If you, or anyone you know, would like to apply please take a look at the Alumni Award website for details of how to enter. The closing date for entries is 31 October 2016. If you have any questions please feel free to get in contact with the British Council team.
