Income Office August Charity Month in aid of the Sheffield Scanner
Inspired by the efforts of the Finance Staff who took part in the Big Walk, the Income Office, organised by Kim Andrews and Helen Coffey, decided to launch a charity month in August to help support the Sheffield Scanner appeal.
The main fundraising came from a raffle held on Wednesday 30 August, made possible through a group effort from staff who gathered a variety of fantastic prizes. Our keen fundraisers then set to work selling tickets to anyone who would buy them, with particular thanks going to Emma Victory and Debbie Finnie.
Who wouldn't want cake while the raffle was being drawn? Thanks to Ellen Alderson-Jones, Emma Victory, Olivia Glackin, and Kim Andrews who baked and supplied the cakes which added to the growing collection pot. Finally, thanks go to Sarah Turner (Income Office Manager) for agreeing to let it happen and to have two dress down days for £1 per day which saw the team beat its target and reach its final total of £327.50.
The nicest part about the event was how the whole office came together as a team to make it an enjoyable success.
We’re delighted by the support the Income Office have shown and extremely grateful for all the support that came from across the University, taking part in the raffle. With everyone’s help we are one step closer to reaching our £2 million goal.
