Student Employee of the Year Awards 2018

seoty 2017

Calling all Sheffield-based alumni - do you employ any University of Sheffield students?

If you have any students working for you as a part-time member of staff, please consider nominating them for the Student Employee of the Year (SEOTY) Award 2018.

These awards recognise and promote students who successfully combine a part-time job alongside their studies and who make an exceptional contribution to their employing organisation. This national award is coordinated by NASES, the National Association of Student Employment Services and nominations from employers are invited for students who make their mark in the following categories:

  • Step Up to Leadership - recognise students who have demonstrated leadership skills taking responsibility for projects or departments etc
  • Commercial Impact - for a student who has made a big commercial impact to your business or organisation eg by increasing profit, generating new business etc
  • Above and Beyond - if you have an outstanding student making a huge impact working in your organisation going above and beyond on a regular basis

Help us to keep Sheffield on the SEOTY map!

Sheffield has a good record with SEOTY having had an overall National winner and several successes in the regional heats. We want to continue our success and demonstrate that Sheffield student workers really are top notch!

The Award also recognises excellent student employers, so don’t forget to tell your students and maybe you could be Student Employer of the Year 2018.

For further details and to nominate, please visit the SEOTY applications web page.

The deadline is Friday 20 April and nominations are open now.
