Do you employ any University of Sheffield students?

If you have any students working for you as a part-time member of staff, please consider nominating them for the Student Employee of the Year (SEOTY) Award 2017.

These awards recognise and promote students who successfully combine a part-time job alongside their studies and who make an exceptional contribution to their employing organisation. This national award is coordinated by NASES, the National Association of Student Employment Services and nominations from employers are invited for students who make their mark in the following categories:

  • Step Up to Leadership - recognises students who have demonstrated leadership skills, such as taking responsibility for projects or departments
  • Commercial Impact - for a student who has made a big commercial impact on your business or organisation, for example by increasing profit or generating new business
  • Above and Beyond - if you have an outstanding student making a huge impact working in your organisation going above and beyond on a regular basis

Help us to keep Sheffield on the SEOTY map!

Sheffield has a good record with SEOTY, having the national winner in 2014 and being the city with the highest number of nominations in 2015 and 2016. We want to continue our success and demonstrate that Sheffield student workers really are top notch!

The Award also recognises excellent student employers, so don’t forget to tell your students and maybe you could be Student Employer of the Year 2017.

To nominate, and for further information on eligibility, please visit the SEOTY website.

The deadline is Wednesday 19 April and nominations are open now!
