St George's Library is 20 years old

Outside St George's Library

St George's Library is about to celebrate its twentieth anniversary later this year and the library team there would like the help of Sheffield Alumni to mark the occasion.

To celebrate its twentieth anniversary, St George's Library will be featuring a series of exhibitions throughout the year, and for those living overseas there will be updates on the library’s web pages.
We are calling for alumni to send us in stories or photographs featuring the library or the staff who you may remember from your student days.

Inside St Georges Library

Do you remember the Library opening? Were you a regular user of St. George’s Library? How different was it to the old Applied Sciences Library? Would you recognise the staff? Some still work there! We’re hoping you’ll share your reminiscences with us and tell us what you thought of the new Library and your experiences of using it.

The team at St George's have set up a Twitter account @SGLat20 and welcome any comments, memories or observations about St George’s Library. If you have photos, even better! Memories can also be emailed to the team at library@sheffield.ac.uk.
