Academic Clinical Psychiatry awards first Sean A. Spence Memorial Prize

Academic Clinical Psychiatry is proud to announce it has now awarded the first Sean A. Spence Memorial Prize, which is available to Undergraduate MBChB students who are intercalating on the BMedSci in Medicine and specifically taking the Psychiatry component.

The first winner of The Sean A. Spence Memorial Prize

The Prize (worth £100), is awarded to the student with the highest mark in the BMedSci viva and dissertation, and was created to honour and recognise Sean’s passion for teaching and his vital contribution to the field of psychiatry, both nationally and internationally. It was won
by Isabelle van Heeswijk, a second year student at the University.

This Prize was made possible through the generous support of staff, alumni and friends of the University, ensuring that vital funds are available for current and future generations of deserving students. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the success of the Fund.
