The University launches Charter Day

Between 21-31 May 2016, Sheffield alumni and friends around the world came together in the University’s first ever worldwide Charter Day celebrations. The series of events organised by alumni volunteers around the world marked 111 years since the University was founded by Royal Charter in 1905. On 4 March 2015 we held our first City Connections event which aims to build the confidence, skills and aspirations of current widening participation students at The University of Sheffield. 40 students visited alumni businesses in London, participating in workshops, tours and presentations.
