Blackboard (MOLE) - The Control Panel
The control panel in Blackboard (MOLE) provides you with access to a suite of course management tools.
You can access the control panel from inside any Blackboard course underneath the left hand customisable navigation panel and just underneath “course management” section.
Within the control panel you have access to the following:
The content collection is a shareable, central content management area. Using the content collection you can upload and share files amongst courses and staff, whilst maintaining central version control of files.
This area contains all of the student collaboration, assessment, communication, portfolio and user management tools that can be utilised in your course. For information on the tools click here
Evaluation items allow you to monitor student usage, progress and activity within your course.
The grade centre is essentially a grid matrix that stores all manually and automatically awarded students grades for assessments taken within that Blackboard course.
Users and Groups
The “user” function allows you to view all the users in your course (If you wish to enrol or make users unavailable utilise “manage users” in course tools). The group function allows you to create manual or self enrolment groups and group sets.
This section allows you to apply course style settings as well as setting the course entry point. The course entry point is the first page that students will see when they enter your Blackboard course.
Packages and Utilities
This option lets you export/import or archive your course
This area links directly to Blackboard’s own Help resources.
