Graduated with a Diploma in Architecture, Bachelor of Arts (Hons) Interior Architecture and Master of Arts in Art History & Cultural Management in Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). After several years of industry experience, started teaching career at a few private institutions in Malaysia, and found the interest and passion towards teaching and learning history and theory of architecture. Following this thirst for knowledge, with almost 10 years of teaching experience, currently in the final year of doctorate studies, while teaching Architecture undergraduate programme in a private university in Kuala Lumpur (UCSI).

Research interests

Project title: 
Julius Posener and Malaysian Architectural Education: Reciprocal Influence and Intellectual Legacy

Project outline: 
The study highlights the significant work and influence of Julius Posener, as one of the important figures in establishing architectural education in Malaysia. The tracing and documenting of his life and work in Malaysia from 1956 to 1961 leads to a discovery on the importance of Posener’s writings, which significantly contributed to the historical input and documentation of the establishment of Malaysian architectural education. This study aims to justify the pivotal link between his attainment in Malaysia and his consecutive achievements in his career as a prominent figure in modern architectural history and education in the 20th century.
