The 3rd International Conference on Light-Sheet Fluorescence Microscopy (LSFM 2016) was held in BMS and at The Edge from 31st Aug to 3rd September, and was a resounding success. On the first day of the meeting, BMS hosted a series of hands-on workshops, where we had no fewer than six light-sheet microscopes up and running in the department! We welcomed 150 delegates from all over the world, including keynote speaker Hari Shroff (NIH). The quality of presentations (talks and posters) was superb; special congratulations go to Sheffield students Karishma Chhabria (Chico lab, Bateson Centre) and Tania Mendonca (Physics/APS), who gave outstanding talks on their PhD work. The next international meeting in the series will be held in Singapore in June 2017.
