Science Week School Visit
Emily Noël and Iwan Evans visited Y5/6 and Y6 at St Wilfrid's Primary School for Science Week. They had a great time talking about the use of flies and zebrafish in biomedical research. It was lovely to see such enthusiasm for science and the children really loved seeing the fish and flies in the flesh. Here are some pictures they drew from an activity designed to teach them about how gene sequences can determine the characteristics of organisms.
A big thanks to Claire Allen and the aquarium staff for helping us and providing us with some zebrafish.
