Teaching interests

I am focussed on providing students in higher education with the best possible learning experience whilst at university.

My interests and expertise are centred on: professional development for all who teach and/or support learning; curriculum design; distance learning; strategic development of learning and teaching; the scholarship of learning and teaching; encouraging engagement with the UK Professional Standards Framework for teaching and supporting learning in higher education; exploring what is meant by "teaching excellence"; equality, diversity and inclusion in higher education.
