Open to all students on a taught postgraduate programme within the Faculty of Social Sciences.

Where can the internship take place?

The Postgraduate Advantage Scheme (PAS) aims to provide work experience with organisations that may otherwise be unable to take on an intern.

Eligible organisations include charities, community groups, social enterprises, small commercial firms (up to 250 employees) and those in the public sector.
The work must take place at the premises of the organisation and cannot be home-based.
The internship can be based in the UK or further afield.

What will I gain from this opportunity?

Previous PAS interns have benefited by:

  • Gaining valuable work experience
  • Developing personal and professional skills
  • Establishing links with external organisations
  • Applying theory to practice
  • Enhancing their CV

How can I get a PAS internship?

Bursaries are awarded on a competitive basis to those who can demonstrate that the experience will benefit them professionally. A limited number of bursaries are available for each Department.

*Additional vacancies may be added outside of these dates
