There are various ways to come and visit us throughout the year. For the best experience, we recommend you attend both a University Open Day and an applicant open day. We also run campus tours throughout term time.
University Open Days
If you really want to know what Sheffield is all about, you've got to come to one of our Open Days. You can take a tour of the campus, the Students' Union and the accommodation. There are talks about studying abroad, how to get loans and grants and other things that matter to you.
Academic departments hold talks throughout the day, so you can visit the ones you're interested in. Staff and students will be there to answer your questions. Most important of all, you get to find out how it feels – the atmosphere, the people, the campus and the city.
Register your interest and we'll be in touch to let you know when booking opens.
We organise applicant open days between November and March to give UCAS applicants the opportunity to find out more about the course they have applied for. It is also a good way to meet with staff and students and to have a look round the Department and the University. Attendance at applicant open days is by invitation only.
