The death of a loved one and the resulting feelings of bereavement and grief are a normal, difficult, part of life. The Staff Grief Group is a peer support group for people who would like to share their experience of loss or bereavement with others who are in a similar position.
Currently our groups are running virtually via Google Meet. The group will meet, weekly, for 3 sessions and is confidential. Please note that these are not drop-in sessions - group members must register in advance and be willing to attend all 3 sessions.
The Staff Grief Group is organised by the University's Chaplaincy Centre in addition to the one-to-one bereavement support offered, year-round.
Groups are facilitated by Christian chaplains from The Chaplaincy Centre, but the sessions are not religious in purpose or intent, these groups are supported by the University Counselling Service.
