Chaplaincy for University Staff
The Chaplaincy Centre is available for every member of University staff, of any faith or none. We can be found in the Octagon Centre – call into our reception on the ground floor corridor, or pop into the office or common room.
You are very welcome to come and participate in any of the services and acts of worship taking place in the Chaplaincy.
During term time we are open Monday to Friday, 9:30-5:00. The Quiet Room is open for individual prayer or quiet contemplation. We also have a Common Room, where you can make a cup of tea or coffee and relax during your lunch break (or any time during opening hours).
We can provide a confidential listening ear, on spiritual or other topics, and are available whether or not you are a practising member of any faith. However, our large team covers many of the major world faiths, and can offer support and advice about practising your faith on campus and in Sheffield generally, as well as on how to support students of faith.
You are welcome to contact whichever of our chaplains or faith advisers feels most appropriate for you, and any will be pleased to hear from you. For more general enquiries about staff support, our Chaplaincy to Staff lead is Jeremy Clines.
