Opening meeting of the Lord Porter Ultrafast Laser Spectroscopy Laboratory
The Lord Porter Ultrafast Laser Spectroscopy Laboratory is an interdisciplinary laboratory equiped to study all aspects of light-matter interaction in the condensed phase. To celebrate the opening of this EPSRC funded facility there will be a meeting on 14 March 2018 with invited lectures from internationally renowned speakers. Registration for the meeting is free, but must be completed by 8 March for catering purposes. |

Further information on Lord Porter
Lord Porter was a member of academic staff in the department from 1955 to 1966. In 1967 he was awarded a share in the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for studies of extremely fast chemical reactions. This is related to the development of flash photolysis.
