Excellent NSS scores for Chemistry Department
The headline NSS scores were released last month. Further analysis has now happened as well and we are delighted to announce that the chemistry department has done very well in the National Student Survey 2015, attaining the equal highest score for mean overall student satisfaction in the Russell Group. Students rated us in the top 5 in the Russell group across the board for all aspects of their learning and teaching in areas from 'teaching quality' to 'personal development', with scores for 'learning resources' and 'academic support' also being equal highest in the Russell group. Finally, our Student Union was rated best in the Russell Group as well.
This outstanding result reflects the very strong commitment that all staff in this department – research leaders, teaching specialists, and the clerical and technical staff who contribute to the student experience – have to ensuring that students have the best possible experience here, and we look forward to doing equally well next year!
