			<title>Applications open for the 2019 Andrew Sherratt Fund</title>

&lt;p&gt;In celebration of the gifted vision of our colleague Prof. Andrew Sherratt regarding old World Prehistory, a memorial fund was established after his death in 2006 by the Department of Archaeology, University of Sheffield, to support international scholarship particularly for those at the beginning of their careers.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

			<title>Broomhill Community Library Historic Garden Comes to Life </title>

			<title>Dating the Dark Ages </title>

			<description>&lt;p&gt;Dr Jenny Crangle, an Honorary Research Fellow of Sheffield Archaeology, is returning to Sheffield and our new research lab facilities as part of a collaborative research project. She and her colleagues will be working with animal bone finds from the Roman site of Wroxeter, in order to select samples that can be used for scientific dating. The result of this project will shed important light on the later periods of occupation at the site and help us to understand when the &#8216;dark ages&#8217; began.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
