Now OpenHSK Testing

HSK written test includes listening, reading and/or writing, open to all ages of non-native Chinese speakers. 

HSKK is an oral speaking test, open to all ages of non-native Chinese speakers.

Test dates are in December, March and June. 

HSK classes: held on Friday evenings, which is FREE to attend if you register with the test. Check Mandarin Course.


Now OpenYCT Testing

YCT witten test include listening, reading and/or writing, open to all non-native Primary and Secondary Pupils. 

YCT Speaking test is an oral test, open to all non-native Primary and Secondary Pupils. 

Test dates are in November, February and May.


Now OpenGCSE Chinese Test

The Preparation Class for GCSE Mandarin Test 2018 is taking place at the Star Mandarin School, on Saturday afternoons. 

Open to secondary school children, who have already achieved the level of GCSE, equivalent to at least Grade C. 

The Class is to go over the exam syllabus, polish the exam skills and aimed to achieve a higher exam results. The individual child must have already at the GCSE level.

The GCSE class cannot replace the systematic Mandarin study. The children are strongly advised to continue taking the normal study of "Zhong Wen", "Jin Bu", or "Happy Chinese", along with the GCSE class. 

GCSE exam 2018 will use the current test syllabus.

From 2019, the new test syllabus will come into force. 


Now OpenA Level Chinese Test

The Preparation Class for GCE (A Level) Mandarin Test 2018 is taking place at the Star Mandarin School, on Saturday afternoons.

Open to secondary school children, who have already achieved the level of GCE, equivalent to at least Grade C.

The Class is to go over the exam syllabus, polish the exam skills and aimed to achieve a higher exam results. The individual child must have already at the GCE level.

GCE exam 2018 will use the current test syllabus for both AS and A2 exams. You must take AS and A2 together if you have not taken AS yet, in 2018.

From 2019, the new test syllabus will come into force.
