Chinese Proficiency Tests

The Ci at the University of Sheffield is one of the earliest HSK test centres in the UK. Started in 2004, now hosting both paper-based and internet-based tests, the Centre has been awarded with "Excellent Centre 2017".

HSK Testing

HSK test includes listening, reading and/or writing, open to all ages of non-native Chinese speakers. 

HSKK is an oral speaking test, open to all ages of non-native Chinese speakers.

Test dates are generally in December, March and June (paper-based), while dates are flexible during February-May (internet-based). 

HSK classes: held on Wednesday evenings, which is FREE to attend if you register the test with us.


YCT Testing

YCT test includes listening, reading and/or writing, open to all non-native Primary and Secondary Pupils. 

YCT Speaking test is an oral test, open to all non-native Primary and Secondary Pupils. 

Test dates are generally in November, February and May (paper-based), while internet-based test can be held at almost any time.
