    The 2017 Annual Research Meeting of the School of Clinical Dentistry combined our Postgraduate Research Day with the Academic Research Day and was once again an excellent celebration of the research carried out by the School. The two days were dedicated to showcasing the research excellence in the School and its connection to the wider community.

    On 8th Feb 2017, Sheffield hosted the Postgraduate Research Prize symposium for the Oral Microbiology and Immunology Group of the BSODR, organised by Dr Graham Stafford.  Marianne Satur won the Postgraduate 3-minute talk prize and OMIG bid a farewell to Prof Emeritus Ian Douglas.

  • RCSEd Dental Clinial Skills Competiton

    On 25th October the Sheffield heat of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh Clinical Skills Competition was held. The evening proved to be both successful and enjoyable. Twenty five final year students took part in the event and the preparations were assessed by Dr Brian Nattress from the University of Leeds. Saman Yazdifar was the winner, with second place Nathaniel Tidy and third place Katherine Maxwell.
