    On 8th Feb 2017, Sheffield hosted the Postgraduate Research Prize symposium for the Oral Microbiology and Immunology Group of the BSODR, organised by Dr Graham Stafford.  Marianne Satur won the Postgraduate 3-minute talk prize and OMIG bid a farewell to Prof Emeritus Ian Douglas.

  • RCSEd Dental Clinial Skills Competiton

    On 25th October the Sheffield heat of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh Clinical Skills Competition was held. The evening proved to be both successful and enjoyable. Twenty five final year students took part in the event and the preparations were assessed by Dr Brian Nattress from the University of Leeds. Saman Yazdifar was the winner, with second place Nathaniel Tidy and third place Katherine Maxwell.

  • BSRD Evening Revision Lectures for Final Year Dental Students and Foundation Dentists

    The BSRD (British Society of Restorative Dentistry) evening revision lecture programme for final year UG and foundation trainees took place on Tuesday 26th April 2016 at the School of Clinical Dentistry. The event was sponsored by Dental Update, Dentinal Tubules and Neoss. Two lectures were presented by our Specialty Registrars followed by an informal discussion. Over fifty participants attended the event which proved to be very successful and enjoyable by all and received excellent feedback.
