Programme Director: Working with Communities Programme

I arrived in an academic role by accident rather than by design after joining the Open University as an associate lecturer in the 1990s. I stayed with the OU for about 20 years in different faculties and with widely different deliverables. As a consequence I have developed a broad understanding of the sector and the internal processes that drive universities as well as developing key expertise in managing complexity and driving innovation. I moved the Sheffield in 2012 and work part time.

I am Director of the Working with Communities programme (part time) and teaching modules on inclusion, professional skills and lifelong learning. In 2015 I am undertaking major review of the programme which will propose new module design and delivery for 2016-17.
