Biography

Tobias graduated from the University of Mannheim and gained his PhD in Economics from TU Dortmund (both Germany). Before joining the University of Sheffield Tobias was senior lecturer at the University of Bath and assistant professor at the University of Duesseldorf.

Tobias is currently teaching microeconomics and industrial organisation at the undergraduate and postgraduate level:

Research Summary

Tobias' research interests lie in the area of applied microeconomics, in particular, industrial organisation and competition policy. His recent research is on behavioural industrial organisation which explores market interaction in situations where consumers are not fully informed or fail to fully understand all offers.

PhD Student Supervision

Tobias is interested in supervising PhD students in applied microeconomics (industrial organisation, competition policy, behavioural economics).
