Other requirements

  • For all the BA degrees, a minimum of GCSE Maths grade B or grade 6, or equivalent. International Baccalaureate candidates who do not have GCSE Maths need to achieve 4 in Standard Level or Higher Level Maths or 5 in Mathematical Studies.
  • A Level General Studies is acceptable as one of the three subjects.
  • Previous study of economics is not essential.

English language requirements

For UK students we ask for a minimum of grade C or grade 4 in GCSE English, or an equivalent qualification.

For EU and international students we require IELTS 6.5 with at least 6 in each component, or an equivalent qualification.

For the BA Economics and Modern Languages & Cultures (RL50) we require IELTS 7.0 with at least 6.5 in each component, or equivalent.
