School of Education cements its reputation for world-leading research in REF 2014

The School of Education is awarded 100% four-star case studies and Impact strategy, with research impact judged to be world-leading and 4th overall for Education in the UK.

The results, published on Thursday 18 December 2014, show that the impact of our research is ranked second to none. We were awarded 100% 4 star Case studies and Impact strategy. The impact of our research is judged to be world-leading.

The REF assesses excellence across the three fields of published research outputs, research impact, and the environment for research in the Department.

Our research environment is ranked as 100% 4 star (world-leading) and 3 star (internationally excellent), it situates our academic team to carry out world leading and internationally excellent research.

We are ranked 4th overall in Education in the UK, with world leading and internationally excellent research.


This outcome confirms the high quality of our research and our commitment to doing research that has strong and lasting impact.
