BEng Electronic and Communications Engineering with a Year in Industry
2020
Due to her love of maths Aditi chose to study a BEng in Electronic and Communications Engineering with a Year in Industry and has also been elected as Vice-President for the EEE Society which is the department's student society.

When I finished high school, All I knew was that I loved maths and I wanted to do a course that involves maths and teaches me about the modern electronic devices, so I decided to study electronics and communication engineering.  I wanted to go to a university that not only offers academic excellence but also a good student experience. After a good research, I choose University of Sheffield.

My degree is all about practical work and we give presentations and explain our approach and our findings in a very systematic and confident way. Which equips us with very important transferable skills. My course also involves a year in industry where I will be applying all the skills I acquired so far at university.

Apart from studies, I have been involved in various activities at university. I was the First-year representative of EEE society and Women in Engineering society.  I enjoyed my roles so much that I wanted to take up bigger responsibilities this year and now I am the Vice-President of both the societies.

As the Vice President of EEE society, I oversee the working of the society and make sure there is a clear understanding among the committee members. As a society we plan on organising events that are both inspiring and enjoyable for the EEE students. We will also help students by conducting problem classes and giving advice about how to approach exams. Overall, we want fellow EEE students to have a memorable student experience.
