Searching for publications
The University catalogue is called StarPlus and you can use it to search for material held in the library, both printed and online. You can access Star Plus from MUSE; click 'My Services' and follow the link to 'StarPlus - Library Catalogue'. You can search for resources, place requests for material that is out on loan and view details of your library account.
StarPlus provides several databases specifically for engineering which are listed below:
- IEEE xPlore
- British Standards online
- ASTM Compass
- ASME Digital Collection
- ACM Digital Library
- SAE Digital Library
- SPIE Digital Library
You can use the Library's subject guides to find out which databases are available to support different subject areas.
How do I borrow a book?
Each library has self service machines that allow you to borrow books - you will need your UCard number. You can have unlimited renewals for each book unless the title has been requested by another person.
