Key Facts - IELTS Exam Preparation Classes


The ELTC offers part-time IELTS Preparation Classes to both existing University of Sheffield students and staff, as well as members of the public. The classes can assist you with preparing for the internationally recognised IELTS exam. We offer two 10 week courses during the academic year. Furthermore, you can take your IELTS exam at our centre after the course as we are an authorised IELTS test centre.

Programme Objectives

To prepare students for an IELTS exam focusing on the 4 papers; Writing, Reading, Listening and Speaking. Work is done on exam techniques and strategies.

Non-teaching dates

There will be no classes during the University Easter Holiday from 8 April to 24 April. There will be no classes during Bank Holidays in England (Bank Holiday classes will be made up)

Location ELTC, 78 Hoyle Street
Rooms ELTC rooms: specifically designed language classrooms with seating for a maximum of 25 students, equipped with audio-visual and computer technologies (interactive whiteboards).
