Key Facts - DELTA

An in-service teacher training and development program to prepare practising teachers for the Cambridge English Language Assessment Delta Modules 1, 2 and 3.
Programme Objectives
To develop and deepen trainees language analysis skills
To develop trainees' knowledge of ELT methodologies and their applications
To develop trainees' knowledge of language acquisition theory and it's classroom applications
To help trainees critically evaluate and improve their current classroom practices

Level NQF Level 7
Proof of English Native Speaker or IELTS 8.0 or above
Minimum Age 21 (normally)
Eligibility Aged 21 or over.
At least 2 years of varied English language teaching experience (full-time or equiv).
At least an initial English language teaching qualification (CELTA, Cert. TESOL or equiv.)
An undergraduate degree or equiv.
An excellent command of the English language (good native or 8.0 in IELTS or equiv.)
Good digital and academic literacies
Access to appropriate EFL/ESOL/EAP classes for teaching practice (M2) and needs analysis (M3)
Ability to cope with a level 7 (Master's) qualification and dedicate a significant amount of time outside the taught sessions.
Successful completion of the application process, including pre-interview and at-interview tasks
Exclusions Students without the required level of English, education and experience. Those without access to suitable learners for teaching practice.

Credits 20 Credits at Master level for each module that can be put towards qualifications at Higher Education institutions

Refunds made through the same system (ie, credited to debit/credit card)
Deposit paid 4 weeks before course start remainder of fees paid before April during the course
Where a deposit has been paid and the trainee withdraws, a percentage of the deposit is retained (unless as replacement can be found) as follows,
•Before 4 weeks - 50
•Less than 1 week 100
Where a trainee withdraws after the start date, fees are not refunded unless there are clear mitigating circumstances (eg certified illness or family bereavement)

Where the remainder of the fees are not paid before the end of the course, the candidate will not be entered by the ELTC.
