Pre-service teacher training course for ELT to adults - both native and non-native speakers of English
Preparatory course for TKT Module 1,2 and 3 exams. TKT gives inexperienced teachers a strong foundation in the core areas of English language teaching. It allows more experienced teachers to prove how much they know about teaching English as a second language.

Programme Objectives

To enable trainees to analyse language for teaching purposes with a reasonable degree of independence
To make trainees aware of a range of lesson types, their constituent stages and organisation
To familiarise trainees with a range of teaching and learning resources
To familiarise trainees with the format and constituent parts of lesson plans

Level IELTS 6.0 or equivalent to take the course

Where a deposit has been paid and the trainee withdraws, a percentage of the deposit is retained as follows,

  • Before 4 weeks - 10
  • 1-4 weeks - 30
  • Less than 1 week 50

Where a trainee withdraws after the start date, fees are not refunded unless there are clear mitigating circumstances (eg family bereavement)
