Checking Expenditure against Budget

You should aim to review expenditure incurred against budget on your award on a regular basis. As a rule of thumb, the shorter the length of the grant, the more often you should be checking your expenditure.

It is possible within uBASE to run reports which show actual and committed spend against the budget for all areas of your grant. Access to uBASE is restricted by profile to users who have been trained to use the system.

You should discuss any areas of concern or figures you don't understand with either your departmental administrator or the relevant team in Faculty Finance (Research).
