Welcome to Professor Dorothea Kleine
Dorothea Kleine - whose research interests include: sustainable and just development futures in the global South; information and communication technologies for development; and sustainable/ethical consumption research in relation to food geographies and Fair Trade., will be affiliated to the department’s Global South research cluster.
Dorothea will also work closely with the Sheffield Institute for International Development (SIID) and contribute to the Faculty's Digital Society and Sustainable Growth themes.
Before joining University of Sheffield, Dorothea has held posts at Royal Holloway, University of Cambridge and at the University of Bonn. Educated at the University of Munich (LMU and TUM) and the University of Oxford, she holds a PhD from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She has conducted collaborative research with and/or advised UNICEF, UNEP, EuropeAid, DFID, GIZ, IDRC, private sector organisations and NGOs.
