Current Research

In exploring the specific geographic context of the Occupied Palestinian Territories, my PhD project focuses on Palestinian women`s spacings, more precisely, geographies of intimacy and care in relation to, and as opposed to politics of occupation. By looking at Palestinian women`s embroidery cooperative, I investigate everyday intimate interactions taking place at the intersection of Israeli settler colonialism and patriarchy. At this juncture, intimacy provides a powerful analytical rubric which can reveal the operations of subjectivity and inter-subjectivity; how Palestinian women make sense of themselves and of space.
