Current research

In exploring the specific geographic context of the Occupied Palestinian Territories, my PhD project focuses on Palestinian women's spacings, more precisely, geographies of intimacy and care in relation to, and as opposed to politics of occupation. By looking at Palestinian women's embroidery cooperative, I investigate everyday intimate interactions taking place at the intersection of Israeli settler colonialism and patriarchy. At this juncture, intimacy provides a powerful analytical rubric which can reveal the operations of subjectivity and inter-subjectivity; how Palestinian women make sense of themselves and of space.
