The German department offers a variety of modules to choose from, from history and politics, to literature and linguistics, and even learning other Germanic languages, for instance Dutch, so there is something for everyone.
I spent four months studying in Regensburg (Germany) and six months at university in Aix-en-Provence (France). I enjoyed the experience of living abroad, the chance to see a new way of life and meet tons of new people.
The department is very helpful, and tutors offer a lot of advice, if you need it. My personal tutor is always there to chat about anything.
I chose Sheffield because of a great languages department and language learning facilities. It´s an interesting city and Students´ Union. There´s always new things to see.
