Why did you decide to study abroad?
I chose to study abroad because I simply couldn't think of a reason not to.
What were your top 3 highlights whilst studying abroad?
- Exploring New Zealand: skydiving, glacier hiking, Milford Sound
- The wildlife seen up close on road trips: kangas on the beach, stingrays, emus, dingos
- Witnessing Little Penguins return from months out at sea and run up the coast and return to their burrows
What would you say to someone who was unsure about spending a period abroad?
You won't be the only one feeling nervous or getting homesick, you'll make friends that become family in an instant, and if you miss this opportunity all you are doing is denying yourself the biggest adventure of your life. Upon returning, I am far more confident and self-assured than before, hardly recognisable from who I was getting on that first plane.
