Global Leadership Initiative welcomes student applications to participate in Creative Commons Global Summit

Best known for its content licences, Creative Commons is a global movement which encourages open sharing and creativity in commercial, educational, public and cultural settings. As an opportunity to explore key developments in these areas, the Global Leadership Initiative (GLI) will bring a group of students to the Creative Commons Global Summit in Toronto from April 28 to 30, 2017.

We are now welcoming student applications from all departments across the Faculty of Social Sciences to attend the Summit. Selected students will take an active part in meetings, writing policy briefs and blogs, carrying out interviews and recording video diaries, pertaining to discussions at the Summit.

Applicants must have a demonstrable interest in issues relating to the work of the Creative Commons (such as open-access publishing, open education, collaborative enterprise, data sharing, intellectual property rights, the economics of the commons).

For more information, including eligibility and details of how to apply, please see Creative Commons.

The application deadline is Monday 27 February 2017, by 10 a.m., GMT.
