The Barnsley Medical Chambers will shortly be holding monthly clinical meetings to discuss patient admissions, significant events, keep up to date with the latest clinical commissioning group news, training, themed learning and to share experience and reflections.
There is no cost to practices using the chambers, the chambers is paid for by it's members and therefore there are no hidden costs to practices. New GP Job Website
Developed by Leeds ST3 GP trainee Mehul Patel, this new website introduced in July 2017 aims to become a central location for advertising GP vacancies throughout the UK. This is not an agency but simply a notice board for practices to list adverts free of charge with the hope of attracting candidates from a wider audience.
BMA Locum Resource
The BMA published a GP locum handbook on line in August 2012. As the handbook is a benefit for BMA members, it can be accessed via the Sessional GP section after logging in to the BMA website. The handbook includes information on a variety of topics, such as:
- starting out as a locum GP;
- setting up a business;
- agreeing contracts for services with different employers.
Pulse is the most read GP magazine in the UK (National Medical Readership Survey) and we currently have a number of GP roles in Sheffield being advertised currently on our jobs board - http://gpjobs.pulsetoday.co.uk/.
