How will it work?

  1. Attend an induction and skills session.
  2. Complete an online application form.
  3. Staff can apply to be both a mentor and mentee.
  4. Mentors and mentees will be paired by co-ordinators. Partnership meetings run from the beginning of March until the end of August.
  5. Confidentiality will be maintained throughout.
  6. When both parties are happy to proceed, an introductory meeting will take place (organised by the mentee).
  7. Completion of a mentoring agreement form – key points to discuss during the first meeting.
  8. Mentee confirms what he/she would like to achieve.
  9. Mentor and mentee work together on the goals.
  10. Mentors and mentees will meet a minimum of three times (approx. 1.5-2 hours per session over a 3-6 month period which will start from the date of the first meeting).
  11. Attend mentor and mentee workshops as a group to share ideas and raise any skills and development needs which have been identified. Provide initial feedback on process.
  12. Complete formal evaluation at the close of the programme.
