Who is it for?

This study day is suitable for first level registered nurses involved in giving travel health advice and vaccinations.


Overview of content:

  • Travel vaccinations and schedules
  • Health promotion with regards to travel
  • Malaria prevention
  • Signposting and resources
  • Prophylactic medication

What is it about?

This full-day provides an introduction to travel health and travel vaccinations. The course will look at undertaking travel health assessment and what advice can be offered. The course will use case studies to demonstrate clear examples for guidance and learning.


How does it enhance practice?

Nurses are equipped with the knowledge and skills to enable them to offer travel health advice and travel vaccinations as well as understanding how to keep their knowledge up-to-date.
