The events kicked off with a conference on Day 1 where students presented both platform presentations and posters which highlighted the wide range of research work being carried out in HCS.

Topics ranged from various types of communication disorder and therapy to improve them, to descriptions of the interactional features of second language teaching and of choir conducting.

The event concluded with a prize giving for the best presentation and the best poster, and the day ended with an evening meal out at a local restaurant.

The second day consisted of a series of student-organized talks and workshops on, among other things, writing for publication and on applying for post-doctoral funding. This was a stimulating event which highlighted the vibrant nature of Post-Graduate research being carried out in the department.
