Profile

I have been a University Teacher in the Department of Human Communication Sciences since October 2014. I teach a variety of topics including developmental speech, language and communication needs; qualitative research methods and social psychology of communication impairments. I support and assess students on clinical placements and supervise dissertations at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

I trained as a speech and language therapist in Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, and have since worked in a variety of settings providing therapy to children and young people. I currently work part-time with the NHS as a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist.

Alongside my teaching and clinical work, I am undertaking a PhD focusing on clinical and everyday interactions in young children with autism using conversation analysis.
