How the PhD programme works

The Department expects students and supervisors to adhere to the Research and Innovation Service (RIS) Code of Practice which is available on the RIS website.

Reviewing your progress

You will have a Confirmation Review at the end of your first year (full-time) or second year (part-time) of study to confirm your status as a PhD student.

All students also have two formal reviews with their supervisor team each year to discuss and feedback on your progress.

Research data management

As part of your PhD studies, you will need to report on various activities related to your research, publications and events.
