Investors in People
Investors in People (IiP) is a national quality standard that focuses on the importance of staff to the success of any organisation. It provides a framework against which organisations can measure their performance. Key areas relate to organisational planning and evaluation, good management practice, communications, recognition of contribution and support for staff development.

Investors in People in the University
All Professional Services departments first jointly achieved the liP Standard in 2002, and continue to be recognised through a process of internal review (the most recent confirmation of our recognition status was November 2012). A team of University staff, trained as Internal Reviewers by IiP ensure that assessment is a continual process for the University.
All Professional Services departments also have an allocated ‘support' person from the internal review team. The support person provides the link between departments, ensuring that good practice is shared and that post-review departmental action plans are implemented.
