2 November 2012

The Leadership and Management Development team will welcome guests from Carleton University from 6th – 9th November 2012. The visitors are Duncan Watt (Vice President-Finance and Administration), Professor Katherine Graham (Senior Advisor to the President and the Provost), Dan Corbett (Interim HR Director) and Cindy Taylor (Lead for the Leadership Development Team).

The Sheffield Leader impressed the Carleton University staff following research into leadership provisions in HEIs internationally, who would like to explore the possibility of importing The Sheffield Leader framework into their own University. By visiting Sheffield the team aim to understand how The Sheffield Leader came to be, and get an in depth understanding of what the 4 levels of The Sheffield Leader mean. Furthermore, they are keen to grasp the skills required to implement something like Sheffield Leader and how the combination of academic and Professional Services works.

The team have a packed agenda over the 4 days ensuring catch ups with a variety of key staff from across the University including Andrew Dodman (Director of HR), Mike Braddick (Faculty PVC) and previous Sheffield Leader participants.
